The only missing element was this piece to complete the puzzle of its services: CBRE, the world's largest real estate consultancy group, had until now only been active exclusively in Luxembourg in the commercial real estate segment. Today, in addition to offices, commercial surfaces, hotels and logistics assets, CBRE Luxembourg is adding a new dimension to its services portfolio with the launch of its Residential department.
"Since the creation of CBRE Luxembourg in 2008 and with an activity strongly accelerated as from the end of 2017, we have continued to invest in our teams by strengthening all our business lines and specializing in some of them. The latest example to date is the addition of a "Development" division in the Capital Markets department, which is mainly dedicated to offering lands to our developers, promoters and investors clients.
We were only missing one area of expertise, which we are now operating with a multi-disciplinary team of 3 people since the beginning of 2019: The Residential department", comments Frank Rosenbaum, Executive Director of CBRE Luxembourg.
The core business of this new department is mainly focused on the lease, sale, valuation and advice on real estate investment in Luxembourg, both for apartments and houses.
The team, in place since January 2 and composed of Kathia Robert - Director, Marco Baiao - Senior Consultant and Claude Billen - Assistant, has started the year on a high note and already offers a variety of quality products.
"The residential real estate market in Luxembourg still offers great opportunities, but it is essential to be well advised to achieve your objectives, whether they are part of a personal occupation, a patrimonial or an investment approach," explains Kathia Robert, Director in charge of the department.
CBRE does not profile itself as a classic residential real estate agent. The implementation of this new business line in a global approach, made possible by the skills and expertise gathered within the CBRE teams and supported by the group's resources, allows for a tailor-made support to clients, whether as part of a traditional sale or lease transaction by a private individual or as part of a larger investment by an institutional client.
"One of the particularities of the Luxembourg residential property market is that, although it has opened its doors to a large number of foreign investors and buyers, it has remained a local market. It is essential to have a good knowledge of its mechanisms in order to be able to integrate it into a global acquisition approach", adds Kathia Robert.
CBRE has made every effort to offer its clients a path that is undeniably oriented towards achieving their objectives.
